Laid Off New York is a publication for creatives that launched as the world shut down. Exclusively written by New Yorkers, for New Yorkers. Born from a hunger for expression and community, its contributors span GQ photographers to gallerists, sheltering in place with nothing but their thoughts.
Inspired by the beautiful essays on art, cinema, fashion, and food, I wrote a truly unhinged piece about life in quarantine with my romantic partner.
It flooded the feeds of millennial New Yorkers for a period I still haven’t accepted as gratifying or humiliating.
